AT&amp;T provides a <a href=\"http:\/\/www2.research.att.com\/~ttsweb\/tts\/demo.php\">demo<\/a> site for testing different voices.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Other languages<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>For non-english languages, one could install <a href=\"http:\/\/espeak.sourceforge.net\/\">eSpeak<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Online alternatives<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>There are some online text-to-speech services. One multilanguage example is <a href=\"http:\/\/text-to-speech.imtranslator.net\/\">here<\/a>. Just paste your text and listen yourself.<\/p>\n<p>Update 2014: In MS Windows, there is now a Speech Platform, which supports 26 languages. The voice quality is good (as compared with eSpeak).
